01About Us

Youth Development Center of America (YDCA) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization, started in August 2011, located in and serving the Chicago Land Area, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth and young adults in this region. We offer programs directly in response to the growing number of young people that are either overlooked, falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the court system. We strive to teach our youth a sense of personal responsibility that is needed to become successful model citizens. Our programming involves:

  • Leadership
  • Financial Literacy
  • Mentorship
  • Career Development
  • After School Programs
  • Community Outreach
  • Athletic Development/Training

02Our Goal

YDCA’s primary goal is to encourage reduce crime, promote health; social, education, entrepreneurship and character development for adolescent boys and girls and young adults, by self-esteem building programs, inward values, career building, educational opportunities and self development. As a result, youth will be able to develop social skills, academic skills and athletic ability, providing them with more opportunities to succeed in promising careers and in life.

Young Adults (ages 19-23)

High School Students (ages 14-18)

Pre-Teens (ages 12-13)

03Our Mission

To provide youth with safe, structured, and supervised activities that will allow for healthy emotional, cognitive and academic development, and career/workforce training regardless of race, class, or creed. In addition, help those individuals reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible individuals in today’s society.

Our motto is, Shaping Minds, Changing Lives & Empowering Youth! We came up with the idea that if we foster our youth by developing their skills and tacking their goals we’ll be able to help them not only change their perception about life but also help them direct their energy towards a positive lifestyle that is conducive to their lives and the lives of others. We not only want to see you actively doing the right things in life, we want you to succeed in life!
